Don’t be fooled by Jessica Schulze’s stature, her pretty face, or her love of high-heels. Jessica leads with a no-nonsense swagger that’s fun and upbeat, yet tough as nails. Jessica serves as Director of The Hope Center in Marysville and is co-pastor of New Life Marysville.
Jessica and her husband, Jeff, moved to Marysville with their 4 kids almost 6 years ago to pastor a little country church. After they got settled in, Jessica rallied local leaders and the area ministerial association and together they build the Hope Center. The Hope Center has created a centralized location that houses various social services, ministries and programs provided by the faith based community and its partners, to better serve the needs of Union County residents. Services at The Hope Center include the Clothes Closet, which provides clothing, shoes, bedding, and small household items to persons in need, regardless of income or situation; The Community Kitchen, which serves four free meals a week to anyone that comes in; and The Union County Emergency Assistance Program, which helps those who find themselves in need of assistance with housing, employment, furniture, clothing, finding medical care, prescriptions, and more. The Hope Center is also home to The Refuge Youth Center, which gives youth a safe place to be active and positive role models to grow alongside.
Jessica is known by her peers as hard-working, innovative, and entrepreneurial and that her heart for compassion and justice is inspiring as well as challenging. Jessica may only be in her thirties but her voice, opinion, and wisdom are highly sought by her counterparts both young and old, male and female. Jessica is greatly-loved and highly-respected by her community.
